What happens if my delivery application prices and POS prices are different?
What happens if my delivery application prices and POS prices are different?

Restaurants often prefer to up-charge on the delivery applications to offset the commissions, so what happens with your POS?

Having a different POS price and delivery application price is very common. This does not affect your mapping, but depending on what POS system you have the steps to balance your reconciliation are a little different.

The pricing discrepancies will not affect Cuboh's ability to work. If you are currently on Silverware, Maitre'D, or Square, Cuboh will overwrite your POS prices when we enter an order, this makes your reconciliation match perfectly.

For other POS systems, Cuboh will not be able to overwrite your POS prices, instead we will inherit your in-house prices. If you currently have pricing discrepancies but want your delivery and POS prices to match for reconciliation purposes, there are two options:

  1. You can duplicate your POS items so that you have an in-house vs. delivery menu. Then add the up-charged price to your delivery application main items and modifiers so that we inherit the right price

  2. If your POS allows it, you can create multiple price levels/options for every in-house main item/modifier -- Cuboh will then allow you to map your delivery items to that specific level as seen in the picture below
